Pyrro

Know why today feels the way it does.

Pyrro puts your sleep, food and training in one place and tells you, in plain words, what helps and what gets in the way. An iPhone app, in development.

One app instead of five.

A sleep tracker, a food diary, a training log, a journal and something to make sense of it all: that's usually five apps, several subscriptions, and data that never meets. Pyrro does all of it in one place, and sees how each part affects the others.

06:52

Woken between sleep cycles, not in the middle of one.

Tell it about your evening — a beer, a late snack — and it plans the alarm around the night you're likely to have.

Your charge shows how ready you are for today. Tap «Why 71?» and see the evening and the night that led to it.

A coach that picks your next weight.

It logs every set, sees where it was easy or too hard, and picks the next weight — one your machine actually has. It even orders the session by floor, so you finish next to the changing room.

Every chart you'd want, all of them about you.

Insights is a space of its own. Your charge against your training load, sleep against what you need, your heart rate variability against your usual, every week of training and every meal against your targets. Over 7, 30 or 60 days.

Example data. Thin lines are days; bold lines are the 7-day average.

A journal of causes, not another habit tracker.

Tag what happened — alcohol, a late meal, travel. Over your own nights, Pyrro shows what helps your mornings and what hurts them, and how sure it is.

Why I'm building it

My blood work came back with high LDL. No food app tracked fibre and saturated fat the way I needed, so I built a small bot for myself.

Then I tore my ACL and needed a coach that progresses every set, without me becoming an expert. Then it started waking me between sleep cycles. Sleep, food and training ended up in one place.

That place is becoming Pyrro. My surname, Snihyr, comes from the Ukrainian word for bullfinch. That's him.

Calm on purpose: no streaks, no badges, nothing red shouting at you.

He's not awake yet.

Pyrro is in development for iPhone. Leave your email and he'll write once, when it's ready to try.
